• 04/25/10Ronnies' Ride

  Event Description
  Ronnie was a member of the Coast Guard and a Federal Law Enforcement Agent that was killed in March of 2007 when he was ejected from his boat during a mission for port security. The PS3 Ronald A Gill Jr Scholarship Foundation was set up to offer a college education to RI students and since inceptions has awarded almost $40,000 in scholarship money. This is the 2nd Annual Ride for Ronnie and will continue to take place the last Sunday of April every year. Our first ride consisted for 400 motorcycles with full police escort from Cranston High School West, to the Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, to the Coast Guard station in Point Judith where a momument bench is dedicated in Ronnie Gills' name and ended in Cranston at the Cranston Country Club. 2010 will start the same, Cranston HS West, registration starting at 8:30, KSU at 10am. Off to Exeter to the Veterans Cemetery where Ronnie is laid to rest, to Scarborough Beach and then back to the West Valley Inn in West Warwick as we are expecting almost 600 to attend.
